If you've started Step 9, you'll notice that we are assembling the second set of curved geese units different from the picture shown below. Here's why.
Sometimes EQ (Electric Quilt) does funny things. It makes it look like everything is balanced and then when you go to sew it, its not. The cuts we would have had to make for the little sashings and posts were ridiculously weird, so I am improvising by joining the blocks in to groups of 4 and then sashing between them. The cuts won't be so odd, and it will actually echo the assembly of the blocks in the center medallion nicely too.
And if you're on Step 11, you'll also notice that the outer border is a little different too! As I said above, EQ can throw funny measurements sometimes (I think I just might need to upgrade my version to EQ8) and the previous border design would not fit unless I had TWICE the amount of piecing! So I echo'd the piecing that is already in the center of the quilt, and used it as a border. Again, I like this way better and I hope you do too
